Jai Ramchandra joins the Palmer Lab

Jai Ramchandra is a rotating first year PhD student from the UCSD Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program who joined the Palmer Lab in January 2026. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, with minors in Chemistry and Spanish.

He is excited about analyzing genetic data through computational work and hopes to pursue a career in bioinformatics, whether it be in academia or industry.

In his free time, Jai is a comic book artist and also loves to crochet, solve various forms of the Rubik’s cube (some are no longer cubes), and watch horror movies.
