Kat McMurray’s Abstract Selected for nanosymposium at Neuroscience 2014
Kat McMurray’s scientific abstract, “GLO1 inhibition as a novel fast-acting antidepressant,” has been accepted for presentation in a nanosymposium at Neuroscience 2014.
Neuroscience 2014 will be held on Nov 15-19, 2014 in Washington, DC.

Palmer Lab Attends IBANGS 2014 in Chicago
The 16th Annual Meeting of the International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society (IBANGS) was held in Chicago from May 10-13.
Camron Bryant, Clarissa Parker and Laura Sittig gave talks.
Alex Gileta, Natalia Gonzales, Kat Johnston McMurray and Celine St. Pierre presented posters.

Dr. Abraham Palmer presents at Addiction Seminar series at Northwestern University. His talk was titled “Letters from the trenches: using genetic approaches in mice, rats and humans to gain mechanistic insights into addiction and other psychiatric diseases.”

Dr. Abraham Palmer travels to Milwaukee to visit MCW and UWM
Dr. Abraham Palmer visited collaborators at Medical College of Milwaukee (Leah Solberg) and University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee (Alexander Arnold). He gave a talk called “There and back again: integrated use of forward and reverse genetics to study behavioral and physiological traits in mice (and soon rats!)”
He also dropped his 1977 VW Bus off with trusted VW mechanic Jake Henes of Riverwest Auto.

Palmer Lab travels to CTC2013 in Madison Wisconsin; Natalia Gonzales gives a talk
The Palmer Lab traveled to the CTC2013 meeting in Madison Wisconsin. Natalia Gonzales’ abstract was selected for a talk. In addition Amy Hart, Carissa Parker, Laura Sittig and Shyam Gopalakrishnan presented posters. Dr. Abraham Palmer was part of a discussion panel on the last day.
