The 10th Annual P50/P30* Retreat was held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the University of California San Diego.

Thank you to all who attended in person and remotely! We hope you found the talks and discussions informative and made connections with new HS rats/GWAS colleagues.

A special thank you to Palmer Lab members who helped with the preparations for audio/visual, seating, signage, research posters, and the tables for ID lanyards, swag, and catering! Thank you, Thiago, Ben, Bobby, Daniel, Brittany, Gavi, Sakina, and Apurva!

*This year, we transition from the P50 to the P30. [Formerly the NIDA P50 Center for GWAS in Outbred Rats / Center for Genetic Studies of Drug Abuse in Outbred Rats: P50DA037844]
As of September 2024, we have a newly-funded NIDA P30 Center (Center for Genetics, Genomics, and Epigenetics of Substance Use Disorders in Outbred Rats: P30DA060810), and we plan to continue the same Retreat tradition in the coming years.

The four Center PIs each gave a talk in Session 1, and twelve presenters from the HS rats community gave talks on their research in Sessions 2 and 3.

Presenters, talk recordings, and photos are available on the P50/P30 Center website (ratgenes.org) in the Meetings tab: "Center for Genetics, Genomics, and Epigenetics of Substance Use Disorders in Outbred Rats – 10th Annual Retreat"

Brittany Leger presented the research poster titled, "Identifying the shared genetic signal from genome-wide association studies of externalizing and locomotor activity" (co-researchers include Palmer Lab members Apurva Chitre, Hannah Bimscheger**, Katarina Cohen**, Riyan Cheng, Denghui Chen, Benjamin Johnson, Thiago Missfeldt Sanches, Daniel Munro, Khai-Minh Nguyen, Oksana Polesskaya, and Abraham Palmer).

(Current and past** Palmer Lab members.)
