Clarissa’s presentation “Comparing genome-wide association results for fear conditioning in two advanced intercross mouse lines: Implications for gene identification in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in humans” will be on October 17, 2012.

Summer will be working with two mentors: Drs. Abraham Palmer and Stephanie Dulawa. Summer is a member of the Committee on Neurobiology and will initially be supported by the Training in Neural Systems Training Grant.

After a lengthy review process Amy’s paper is finally in press. Other authors include Barbara E. Engelhardt^*, Margaret C. Wardle, Greta Sokoloff, Matthew Stephens, Harriet de Wit and Abraham A. Palmer.

Lab members Camron Bryant and Margaret Distler were both married on July 7, 2012… but not to each other… Camron married Galum and Margaret married Will. Congrats and best wishes to them all. Photos anyone?

Kat is the newest addition to the lab; she is a member of the Committee on Neurobiology and will be supported by the Training in Drug Abuse Research Training Grant.

Emmanuel is the Palmer Lab’s newest technician, we are pleased to have the University of Chicago alum as part of the team.

Congratulations to Clarissa Parker who will be presenting at ACNP this December in Hollywood, Florida.  All of her travel expenses will be paid by the travel award.

Abraham made a quick trip to Paris where he gave a talk, ate some food and then flew home. It was a very nice and highly informative meeting put on by Xavier Montagutelli of the Institut Pasteur.

Lacy Schley, who is a journalism student at Northwestern Unniversity prepared a short video interview with Dr. Abraham Palmer and Margaret Distler about their recent publication.

Abraham Palmer participated in the graduation ceremony, while the rest of the lab and her family joined us for lunch afterwards.
