Dr. Palmer is a co-investigator on NIH/NIDCD grant

Dr. Palmer is a co-investigator on the NIH/NIDCD grant received by Dr. Friedman, entitled “The genetic basis for age-related hearing loss in outbred mice.” The goal of this project is to study genetics of the age-related hearing impairment using GWAS in outbred CFW mice.

Dr. Oksana Polesskaya has been promoted to Assistant Research Scientist. The appointment will begin on July 1st, 2020. The new title will allow Dr. Polesskaya to receive independent research funding from NIH and other agencies. Congratulations, Oksana!

Dr. Abraham Palmer is a co-investigator on NIH/NIDA U01 grant

Dr. Francesca Telese received a NIH/NIDA U01 grant to support her work in HS rats, entitled: “Single-cell resolution analysis of chromatin accessibility and gene expression changes in a model of drug addiction”. Dr. Palmer is a co-investigator on this project. The goal of this project is to use single cell RNASeq to identify changes that are associated with the extended access to oxycodone intravenous self-administration paradigm.
